Gunstock 2013 Giant Slalom Results

It was cold afternnon and evening as 26 competitors from New England, and a couple from Montana raced two Giant Slalom races at Gunstock Mountain Resort on February 2nd.  In both races Montana’s Maggie Dohrty was the fastest woman, with New Hampshire racers Sarah Carly second and Sara Godek in third position.  Cory Snyder of the men’s A team was the fastest time on the mountain, followed by Regional Team members Devon Wright and Garrett Long in 2nd and 3rd positions.  There were five junior racers in various divisions, some who were racing for the first time.  The juniors included Dylan Weglarz, Noah Block, Sam Garber, Ian Boisvert, and Coreen Carley.  The men’s citizen category was very competitive with Howard Block winning the first race and Brian Ruhm winning the 2nd race.
