My Skiing History:
I started skiing when I was three, I started as an alpine skier. Then at the ripe age of nine I decided to transition to telemark, being influenced by my parents of course. When I started telemarking my family found the SSWSC devo telemark team so we decided to join. I have been on the the devo team for six years now. I joined the National team after my second Nationals in New Hampshire in 2018.

My Goals and Motivation:
I hope to join the World Cup team and travel all over the world to compete in races with my friends on the National Team. My motivation is my love for the sport, and my love for competition. I love to be put to the challenge. My first years in the elite category have been challenging, but they have made me better as a skier and a person.

What I Love about Telemark Skiing and Racing:
I love the community that comes with the National team as well as the community that comes with being in the telemark family. You can ski down the hill under a chair lift, and once you drop that knee you can hear hoots and hollers from above. Don’t forget about the connection between you and another telemarker when you discuss what the best binding is and how each other can benefit from a new binding.

Interesting Facts about Myself:
I am a twin with another National Team member, Rebecca Poper. I play the Bari Sax in both concert and jazz bands. I also do a lot of theatre in my free time and love to perform in front of people. I have also won states in Colorado for Speech and Debate.
