My Skiing History:

I learned to ski at Gunstock when my family moved to NH when I was five years old. Alpine was my main form of skiing while I was younger but occasionally skied around our farm on my fish-scales. In middle school I switched my focus to Nordic Racing and trained with 3 –time gold medalist Nina Gavrilyuk along with other great Russian coaches. I took a few years off from ski racing in college to compete in throwing events for Bates Track and Field and eventually competed at the NCAA championship my senior year. After graduating I got back into ski racing and combined my backgrounds of Alpine and Nordic racing to get Telemark!

My Goals and Motivation:

My goal this year is to come back even stronger from tearing my ACL back in January 2020. I had ACL reconstructive surgery in May 2020 and I have been focusing on making myself stronger than I was pre-injury. My goal is to be on snow as much as possible this winter and return to racing this season. My other goal is to guide the younger athletes wishing to race at the world cup level and help them transition into a higher level of racing.

What I love about Telemark Racing:

I love telemark racing because it gives me a feeling of warmth; it definitely keeps me warm lunging down the hill and I always look forward to the skate section! The best part about telemark racing is that it challenges you as a well-rounded skier. I am so thankful that Telemark Nationals were held at Gunstock which introduced me to this wonderful team and the supportive community of telemark racing in the US.

Interesting Facts About Myself:

I am obsessed with unicorns, avocados, and sprinkles on donuts. I have hiked 800 miles on the Appalachian Trail and most NH 4000 footers. I love to mountain bike and lift and try to spend as much time as I can in the woods with my family, friends, and golden retrievers, Chloe and Eva. I currently hold my boater’s and motorcycle licenses. I work in clinical research and travel all over the world to hold the trials. Traveling is one of my favorite things to do.
