My Skiing History:

I was first on skis when I was two. I like to blaze down the hill fast enough to give my parents a heart attack. So naturally I liked ski racing. I started ski racing almost as soon as I started skiing. I raced for 8 or so years but I found that ski racers could be mean and that the massive races were no longer fun. So I quit ski racing. Later that same year my dad put me on a pair of tele skis. I was 11 at the time. I wouldn’t have guessed that I would be Telemark racing within a year but I guess you can take the girl out of the race but you can’t take the race out of the girl.

My Goals and Motivation:

I find that it is my team mates that motivate me. Both by providing solid competition and by encouraging me. Goals, well it has been a childhood dream of my to compete in the Olympics. However I have enjoyed teaching the sport as well as competing in it. So I guest my goal would be to help pass on down this wonderful sport to others and to hopefully one day compete in the Olympics.

What I love about Telemark Racing:

Well I love every word stated above. I love Telemark because of the community it creates and the difficulty of the sport. I love racing because I love competition both against myself and my fellow racers. I also love the aspects unique to Telemark Racing. I love the jump and I love the skate section at the end because having to skate after working hard in the gates is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do.

Interesting Facts About Myself:

I work better in a team and have a fierce loyal streak.  I love animals of all shapes and forms but especially the imaginary ones.  I love to read and write as long as there is fantasy or science fiction involved.  I love going fast.
