Lanzetta spends a day with Waterville Valley tele program

Team member Josh Lanzetta connected with the Waterville Valley tele program and spent last Saturday working with skiers of all ages and abilities

Bill Powell of the Waterville Valley tele program sent his feedback about the day and some photos.

Just want to let you know that Josh Lanzetta came to Waterville Valley on Saturday and did morning and afternoon clinics for some of our local telemarkers and for our kids’ tele seasonal program. By all accounts the day was a tremendous success and the feedback from participants and from Waterville management was incredibly positive.

The morning session involved almost 20 skiers including some of our older kids and locals who were interested in learning about tele racing. We were able to secure our NASTAR course and ran gates for a couple of hours. Josh handled the large group very well and demonstrated techniques and assigned drills for those who wanted to try them. The afternoon was a bit more laid back with 5 of our “newbies” in our Lower Meadows area. We set up a course of stubbies and worked on more rudimentary elements of telemark.

On behalf of all of us involved with the program I want to thank you and USTSA for making this possible. Josh is a great ambassador for the sport and I really hope that we can get a couple of our kids to Gunstock for the nationals in March.
