Two locals named to tele national team

The U.S. Telemark Ski Association recently announced its national team for the upcoming 2010-11 season, and two Summit County skiers were chosen for the squad.

Silverthorne’s Drew Hauser, although just 21, will return as a veteran to the program’s A team. Hauser was the 2009 World Junior Champion and U.S. National Champion.

Also making the team was Breckenridge’s Nick Resignolo. At 16, Resignolo will be a part of the U.S. program’s develpmental team.

A slew of Coloradans were also named to the team, including defending national champion Shane Anderson of Steamboat Springs. Lorin Paley, an 18-year-old from Steamboat, will be the top returner on the women’s team after a 2009-10 season that included a number of World Cup podiums.
