My Skiing History:
I started skiing at age 2 on Mount Werner in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.  I have been tele skiing since the 5th grade when I was 9 years old.  Beforehand, when I was 6 I had been on the Winter Sports Club for alpine skiing.  Then I started up again about two years later on the tele team.  I was one of the first girls on this team and have been in it since the second year of the program. In the 2009-2010 season I injured my knee during the Nationals in Whitefish, MT which caused me to stop skiing for the rest of the season and the 2010-2011 ski season. I plan on spending a lot of time independently training this year.

My goals and Motivation:
Tele skiing is a passion of mine; I race and am now on the development team and hope to become part of the A or B team this year.Last day of skiing with SSWSC - Spring 09

Why do I Telemark Race?

I feel I am a part of something unique in each and every aspect of my life especially, my passion, telemark skiing. When I am skiing down the race course I can feel my heart beat begin to accelerate and adrenalin begin to race through my body, this is the feeling that makes me weak at the knees.

Interesting Facts About Myself:
I kayak for the thrill of it. I know if I don’t think on my feet I could flip at any moment. The flute is my instrument of choice. I have played it for 8 years now. I also want to go to school on the east coast to become a criminal psychologist.

Competition Results:
I got all 1st place results as a Junior until 7th grade. I raced and got mostly first place finishes during the 8th grade. Then, last year I moved up to race in the Elite category. In the 2009-2010 season I participated in the US World Cup placing 15th. In the 2010-2011 season I did not ski because I had surgery on my knee and spent most of the year in physical therapy building up my knee.
