US Telemark National Championships will be held in Whitefish Montana at Whitefish Mountain Resort on March 18-21. There will be a race and a competitive level for everyone. Mark your calendars now.
Competition Levels
A variety of competitive levels are offered and experience and speedsuits are not necessary to register in the Masters category (age 40 and up), the 2 Junior categories (age 14-17 and age 13 and younger) or the Citizens category (age 18-39). If you want to test your skills against the US Team Members and other Elite athletes, then the Elite category is for you. A USTSA Competitive License is required to race in the Elite category.
Schedule:
Thursday, March 18 - Don K Chevrolet Giant Slalom - A 2 run event with a combined time. The GS includes a Nordic style jump.
Friday, March 19 - Karbon Classic - A 1 run event which includes Giant Slalom gates, a jump, a 360 degree banked turn and Nordic skating.
Saturday, March 20 - Big Sky Brewing Sprint Classic and Banquet - A shorter version of the Classic, with 2 runs combined time. A banquet dinner with raffle and awards will be Saturday evening.
Sunday, March 21 - Don K Subaru Pro Dual Slalom - A 2 run format with combined time. There will be 2 courses side by side and a racer on each course. The Pro style slalom will have the gates set a little further apart than the traditional alpine slalom.
Cost: Race Fees will be $30 each day and lift tickets will be discounted to $35 each day for competitors.
Volunteers: Family and friends and anyone else who would like to volunteer will receive a lift ticket for the day they volunteer and a voucher for a lift ticket to be used another day. Contact
