A born New Englander, I grew-up skiing and racing in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. As a member of the Gunstock Ski Club and later Waterville Valley’s BBTS program, I competed as a Nordic and Alpine athlete until knee injuries permanently sidelined my collegiate career in 1999. In 2001, after recovering from a severe back injury and graduating from Plymouth State University, I relocated to Breckenridge, Colorado, where I focused on backcountry skiing and Alpine climbing. Seven years, and many powder stashes later, I entered a sprint classic at Howellson Hill, and immediately decided to pursue Telemark racing. Currently, I reside in Rye, New Hampshire, with my partner Mary and our chocolate lab. I can be found skiing at Gunstock this winter, bringing me full circle, or back to the age of 2.
