My Skiing History:

I originally started off as a snowboarder when I was young, I followed my brother. An after a couple years of falling on my butt and sliding around I thought it was time to switch to skiing. I had watched my parents tele ski for a couple years while I learned alpine, and eventually one day I wanted to give it a shot. I switched over to tele for the following season when I was only 12 years old.

My Goals and Motivation:Danielle Huckabone 2017 action web

My #1 goal is to grow as a skier and a person. I want to be able to learn from the other people on the team and see their techniques and learn from them! To me this team is not about winning, but about the experiences and the memories to be made

What I Love About Telemark Racing:

I love the way people look at you when you do tele turns, in a confused and puzzled look. I love getting asked the question “so what exactly is tele skiing?” I love the fact that I can say i tried something new, and that i am broadening my horizons of skiing.

Interesting Facts About Myself:

When my family and I were living in CT we used to travel two and a half hours every single Friday and Sunday to a small mountain in southern NH to go skiing. I had been skiing at that mountain all my life, and one year I was approached and asked if I wanted a job there. And as soon as they asked, I knew my answer: YES! I loved everything about the mountain, and skiing, so I thought that working as a ski instructor would be a great experience. So I worked and played for the past two years at Crotched Mountain.danielle 2017 ski web
