My Skiing History:

I was first put on skis when I was 2 years old and grew up skiing at Pat’s Peak in Henniker, NH. In 2004 Crotched Mountain opened in Bennington, NH and that has been my home mountain since. I grew up alpine skiing but would try telemark a few times every year. I finally took it up in 2014 and dropped alpine skiing all together. I had never raced before and decided to throw myself into the racing community this past March at the telemark national race. Luckily it was held at my home mountain of Crotched and I competed and loved every bit of it. I wanted to do more so I went to the race at Cannon Mountain in Franconia, NH the next weekend and fell in love with the community and the thrill of racing.

My Goals and Motivation:

Seeing people standing on the podium makes me want to be able to get to that spot someday.

What I Love about Telemark Racing and Skiing:

I love how different it is from every other type of racing. The rap and the skate portion adds a whole new element to racing and I think it’s way cooler than any other type of race. I love the community around telemark racing with the hooting and hollering with people who you barely know giving you high-fives and pushing you to skate faster or ski harder.

Interesting Facts About Myself:
I am a soccer player and baseball player with 3 soccer state championships under my belt. In 8th grade, I went to Austria and skied, ate at the Hofbrahaus in Germany and went tobogganing for the first time. I plan to study biology in college and go into medicine.
