Skiing History:
I started skiing when I was 7yrs old. I have been telemarking for 5yrs. I participated in the Selkirk Classic four years ago for fun and got into racing from there.
Competition Results:
- 2nd Overall at Nationals 2006
- Kimberly World Cup Race 2006 Classic- 8th, GS- 9th
- Schweitzer World Cup Rave 2006 Classic-11th, Sprint-7th, GS-10th
- Selkirk Classic 2006 Classic-2nd, GS-3rd, 2005 Classic 1st, GS-2nd
Goals, Attitude and Motivation:
I enjoy telemarking, and although racing takes away from some of those powder day which is hard it’s a great way to challenge myself. I still get a little freaked out over the jumps but am trying to work on that.
Why do you Telemark Race?
I like the feeling of racing, everyone is there to have a good time and while people are trying to win it’s a pretty relaxed atmosphere.
Interesting Facts about yourself:
I got little kids rollerblading knee pads to wear when I started telemarking, they are pink fuzzy bunnies and I never ski without them.
